How we design your garden
1. Book initial meeting
Choosing the right person to design your garden is crucial to the success of your project. A landscape architect can design a unique, functional, and beautiful outdoor space that reflects your personality and increases your property's value. Our experienced team includes dedicated project mangers and landscaping teams who work with you and your landscape architect from concept to completion. You can secure your initial meeting and site survey with a landscape architect with a £200 deposit.

During your initial meeting we will establish everything that you are looking for from the process, including usage areas, style and colour preferences, seating or patio areas etc and we will survey your garden. Keeping a scrapbook on Pinterest or clips from books or magazines of styles or elements you have seen that you like is extremely helpful. Please bear in mind that at this point we will need to get an idea of budget from you as this forms the basis of what will be suggested in the plan. Although it depends on the size of the garden and scope of the project, as an indication average project cost for a full garden transformation is in the range of £15-40k. You can of course choose to phase the project over time to spread the cost. Following the meeting and survey we will recommend an appropriate design package for your needs.

Depending on the complexity of the site, we will usually do a site survey at the same time as the initial meeting, taking all relevant measurements that we need to reproduce your garden to scale. In some situations, if levels are particularly complex, we may require a chartered surveyor to do the survey which will be at an additional cost.

From here, usually within two to three weeks, we will have the initial concepts drawn up for you and replicated as a CAD drawing. In addition, a hand drawn artist’s impression of the garden will be produced so that you can get a real feel for the finished product. Along with the drawings are supporting documents showing pictures or examples of material or product choices and planting ideas which are all presented to you in person.

6. Sign Off
Once you are happy with the design and it is signed off, the plan is passed to our estimating department who will calculate the installation costs for you. The balance payment for the design is now payable.
There is no obligation to use our in house team to build your project, although at this point we are already familiar with the project and love to see it through to fruition and beyond with any annual maintenance care.
