Three Construction Styles for Every Setting
Post and rail fencing has defined fields, paddocks and rural boundaries for centuries. Jacksons manufacture theirs from Jakcure® pressure-treated softwood — guaranteed for 25 years — with three construction styles suited to different applications and budgets.
Nailed Half Round
Rails nailed to the flat face of half-round posts — highly durable and versatile. The most cost-effective option, ideal for agricultural boundary demarcation over long runs.
Nailed Square
Square rails nailed to square posts for a cleaner, more formal appearance than the half-round variant while maintaining the same robust construction.
Morticed
Rails slot into mortice holes cut in the posts with no exposed fixings — the most attractive style. Available with 3 or 4 horizontal rails for greater demarcation.
Typical Applications
Paddocks, grazing fields, large country garden boundaries and estate divisions. All Jakcure® treated with a 25-year guarantee against rot and insect attack.
