Pruning
Pruning is one of the most important aspects of garden maintenance — keeping plants in good shape and ensuring the best possible flower display each year. As a general rule, we prune most plants straight after they have finished flowering, so we never risk cutting off growth that is about to bloom.
Pruning also removes old, dead wood and eliminates crossing branches, which through rubbing and wounding allow disease to enter. Our team has extensive experience across a wide variety of shrubs and climbers and will always advise on the right timing and technique for each plant.
Weeding & Ground Care
A never-ending task, but regular small efforts pay off enormously in the long run — preventing weeds from reaching the seeding stage before they take over. Frequent hand weeding or hoeing of open ground keeps most weeds under control in a manageable way.
For larger areas or hard standing, a targeted weedkiller can reduce time spent significantly. We can also advise on weed membrane and bark systems to greatly reduce future weed growth and keep beds looking clean with minimal ongoing effort.
Jungle Clearance & Climber Training
If you have taken on a neglected property that looks more like a wilderness than a garden, our team can blitz it back to a manageable space. We have the specialist equipment to tackle large clearances that can seem daunting and unmanageable without the right tools and know-how.
Climbing plants are invaluable for hiding long stretches of fencing or ugly garden buildings. We can install appropriate support systems, carry out annual pruning to keep climbers under control, and help ensure the best possible flower display each year.
